i. Privacy Notice

What we collect, why, and what we do with it.

Olienzo treats personal information with the same discretion it extends to its counterparties. This notice describes the limited circumstances in which information about you reaches us through olienzo.com, and how we handle it.

The data controller.

For the purposes of applicable data-protection law, the data controller for this website and for correspondence sent to its published email addresses is Olienzo Ltd., a privately held company headquartered in Istanbul, Türkiye, with representative offices in Milan, Dubai, Riyadh, and Osaka.

You can reach us about anything in this notice via the contact form.

Only what you send us.

olienzo.com does not require you to register, sign in, or submit information of any kind in order to read it. There are no forms, no accounts, and no analytics. We do not log visitors or build profiles.

The only personal information that reaches Olienzo through this site is information you choose to send us via the contact form on the Contact page. When you submit that form, its contents (your name, email address, organisation, subject, and message) are transmitted to our form-handling provider and from there forwarded to a designated mailbox controlled by Olienzo.

Our hosting and content-delivery infrastructure may, in the ordinary course of operating any website, retain short-lived technical logs (IP address, browser, request path, timestamp) for security and abuse-prevention purposes. We do not query or analyse those logs for marketing.

Two reasons. Both narrow.

We process the personal information described above for two reasons:

  • To respond to you. When you write to us, we read, consider, and reply. Where appropriate we may retain the correspondence for the duration of an ongoing conversation or commercial relationship. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in handling correspondence sent to the firm, and, where applicable, steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract.
  • To keep the site running and secure. Technical logs are processed for the operation, integrity, and security of the website. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating the site safely.

A short list of service providers.

We do not sell, rent, or otherwise commercialise personal information. We do not share it with marketing or advertising networks.

A small number of service providers process limited information on our behalf in order for the site and our correspondence channels to function:

  • Hosting and content delivery — the infrastructure that serves olienzo.com and handles inbound HTTPS requests.
  • DNS and security — the providers that resolve our domain and shield it from abuse.
  • Email — the provider that receives, stores, and sends mail to and from our published addresses.
  • Typefaces — Google Fonts, which serves the typefaces used on the site (see our Cookie Policy for detail).

These providers act as processors (or, where they operate independently, as separate controllers) under their own published terms. We choose providers we consider reputable and review them as our use evolves.

A globally distributed firm.

Olienzo operates from Türkiye with representative offices in the European Union, the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Japan. Personal information you send us — and the technical logs described above — may therefore be accessed or processed in any of those jurisdictions, as well as in the jurisdictions where our service providers are established, including the European Economic Area and the United States.

Where a transfer crosses jurisdictions in a way that requires it, we rely on the safeguards offered by each provider — typically standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms — together with our own internal controls.

As long as useful, no longer.

Correspondence is retained for as long as it is reasonably useful to the matter it concerns and to any continuing relationship, and for such longer period as is required by applicable law (for example, tax, commercial, or anti-money-laundering record-keeping obligations). Technical logs are retained for short rolling periods consistent with security needs.

You can ask us. We will answer.

Depending on where you are resident, you may have rights under applicable data-protection law to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to ask that it be corrected or erased, to restrict or object to certain processing, and, where relevant, to receive a portable copy of it. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, please write to us via the contact form. We will respond within a reasonable time, and in any event within any period required by the law applicable to your request. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data-protection authority in your country of residence.

If anything material changes, this page changes with it.

We will revise this notice if our practices change. Where a change is material we will, where reasonable, draw it to your attention. Questions about this notice can be sent via the contact form.
